Radio Frequency

The design of the RF circuitry is realized by means of different development tools and a complete measures equipment.

The hardware design is supported for the following devices:

  • Specific Wireless Sensors
  • Remote Contro Unit mono-directional and bi-directional
  • Long Range Data Link Modem
  • passive and active TAG
  • multiprotocol wireless-wired interfaces

The strategy starts from the characterization of the substrate according to the frequency range required by the application, then you select the most suitable devices to achieve the desired performance.

PCB Stack Definition

The definition of the stack PCB is one of the most important design parametersIt is indispensable for the correct dimensioning of networks, for the propagation of signals and the control of the impedances.

For best results, the activities are performed in direct contact with the manufacturer of laminates, always finding the best compromise between quality, availability, processing time and final costs.

Schematic Design

Schematics design is treated in detail and is constantly supported by the results obtained at the outset through the simulation of the networks (active and passive stages) and most critical circuits.

During this phase are also analyzed the effects due to the dispersion of the parameters according to the main state variables (temperature, aging, uncertainty, imprecision of production processes).

Measurements and Matching

After completion of the prototypes will start a campaign of RF measurements.

We start by testing the performance of the PCB through the implementation of appropriate samples that are submitted to attenuation and impedance measurements in order to verify the quality of the resulting PCB.

The assembly of the components is made in a partial way, appropriately isolating the individual stages to be submitted to measures and verification of the fine tuning.

All measurements are concluded with the experimental verification of the performances attained with the components present in the matching networks, determining the final BOM.

Certification and Documentation

On request, can be performed pre-compliant measurements in shielded room and subsequently in anechoic room, in order to obtain a complete documentation.

All results are documented and illustrated, getting a technical report useful to the issue of certificates in accordance with the regulations.

Technologies and Frequency Ranges

Supported all the most common technologies, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, DAB, UWB, all kinds of radio links sub-GHz and over-GHz.

Can be developed wireless modules compatible with all major protocols, or by implementing proprietary communication protocols.

Usually the frequency ranges most used are comprised within the 10 GHz.
